Baru Urban Village Puskesmas, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, has wound healing program for Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients. Special treatment should be done thus wound could be healed.

This service is also given for free. While if you seek this treatment in other places, it can cost to Rp 3 million

When patient's skin is moist, the wound can't be bandaged with gauze bandage. It is enough by giving ointment that later can replace the wounded skin.

"It is actually a simple pattern, but different patients need different handling. Wound healing becomes a trend because this is the only puskesmas which opens wound healing service for diabetes mellitus patients," she explained, Friday (3/2).

Through medical team expertise in this puskesmas, her side can prevent patient to have amputation due to wounds that never healed. "This service is also given for free. While if you seek this treatment in other places, it can cost to Rp 3 million," she stated.
